BACKGROUND |
- Harry comes from the famous Dunlop training dynasty, being son of John and brother of Ed.
- Following experience gained with Nicky Henderson and Henry Cecil, as well as his father, John Dunlop, Harry commenced training in his own right in November 2006.
- He was successful with his very first runner, Situla in November 2006 and has now had 4 full flat seasons, training more winners each season, including a Listed winner and Group placed horses.
|
LOCATION |
- Harry trains in the beautiful training centre of Lambourn in Berkshire, with access to all the extensive facilities and support you would expect in such an environment.
|
FACILITIES |
- Harry trains from the historic Windsor House Stables, which has been a major training yard for over a century now and those that have trained there include Peter Walwyn, Roger Charlton, Nicky Henderson and Ralph Beckett.
|
THE TEAM |
Ably assisted by his wife Christina, the team also includes the following:
- Sarah Scott is the stable secretary and has extensive previous experience with Barry Hills and Hughie Morrison.
- Phil Wright, previously head lad with Ralph Beckett, is head lad and John La Costa, previously with Roger Charlton, is Travelling head Lad.
|
BEST HORSES |
- Harry would probably regard his best horses to date as Classic Remark, who won a listed race and was also Harry’s first Group 1 runner, Green Moon who notched up a hat-trick in 2010 including a Listed win, and Festoso, who was placed in the Group 1 Cheveley Park Stakes and the Group 2 Cherry Hinton Stakes.
- 2012 proved a breakthrough year for Harry with two good 2-y-o winners, Sir Patrick Moore and Roz, both of whom ran in Group 1 company.
