BACKGROUND |
- In his younger days Tim was a keen and successful showjumper appearing at the Horse of the Year Show and representing his country.
- He then turned his attention to Point-to-Points where he was twice Champion and rode in the Foxhunters at Aintree.
- Following a degree at Glamorgan University, Tim then became a qualified Chartered Surveyor and worked for 4 years in that industry before natural passion for the sport led to him starting to train in 2007/08 when he had 14 winners at a strike rate of 23%.
- With 55 winners in 2008/09 Tim was making giant strides up the trainers ladder, finishing 22nd in the trainers list. 2009/10 saw further amazing progress to 88 winners and the top 10 trainers in the Country.
- In 2010/11 Jumps season Tim had 91 winners, including a spell at the top of the trainers list in 2010 to complete his meteoric rise, without the backing of huge sums of money or a string of wealthy owners. In the 2011/12 Jumps season, Tim led the trainers table for quite a long time and finished with 102 winners.
